By the way, 0.10 is coming this will mostly be a bug fixes release.

sms tool

some ideas on this,

obviously a chat like interface. Textr already does this but it is very heavy weight and slow on 200mhz-273mhz phones. Something lightweight that doesn't offer too many intrusions, does messaging in the background, and uses your contact scroll feature would be killer

this would be better then ichat which has a very annoying 'sending....' message that pops up when sending a txt on the iphone.

1. DAMN great app. Thanks, man. I really appreciate its performance and configurability.

2. FRQ: Is it possible to include an option to allow single handed control using the scroll wheel or something? For example a highlighting bar that enables me to choose a contact (and call it) without touching the screen. I know your app is not meant to be used like that, but it would make it much more convinient. PLZ!!!

Haven't read all 31 pages so please excuse me if this has already been addressed.

Great program...however if I use it to send an SMS, I get an error message about an invalid SMS address, should it send anyway.

Saying yes sends with no problems...but I wondered why I got that error.

GREAT APP! really love it! Just one thing: is it possible to sort contact by sure name... not firstname. thanx... and is it possible to skin this app... somebody here made very nice skin here inb cab installer, but with previous version 0.8... can i combine that with latest 0.9?

So far the most functional update
I used to have problem with the full screen mode, but now the eliminated the problem

One suggestion which i hope it will made it through version 1.0 is:

- lets make tapping once on the picture brings the full contact info (the edit contact page)
- lets make tap and hold brings the menu where we can change picture, set favorite, new contact...etc
-Lets give the application a distinctive icon

I just tested your tool - and its really great. Like "the_dipe" I would prefere to control the tool by buttons.
For Example:

[0. By pressing the "left" button open the favorites]

1. Scroll direktly through the Letters on the left side by pressing up/down

2. Then press the "right" button and the focus changes to fist entry with the in the first step selected letter.

3. With Up/Down select the contact
4. Press fire
5. Contact opens and the focus is directly on the first entry

6. Press fire to do selected action...

(As you can see there is a minor Bug by showing the adress...)

That would be perfect (for me)

Will you consider adding incoming caller ID

Hi,
I love this program. I've been using Inesoft address book, mainly because when someone calls, the phone display a large incoming caller id image. Since i start using your program, i deleted Inesoft address book, but i miss the incoming caller id.

Will you consider building something like that?

Unzip, and copy the Runsoftkeys.exe to your phone or storage card. Run it once to configure your left/right softkeys. Just assign ContactManager.exe to the right softkey and you're set.

Maybe you can put this on your main page so people can easily remap their contact manager to the softkey and not have to keep posting here in the thread.

I stand corrected...eitehr way, it would be nice to put that file on teh main page for others.

I wonder if there is a registry hack for the Contacts button in the dialer app.

there's nothing better than this!
but there's still something lacking.
first,if i choose one contact and i found that it's not the right one i want,i need to use my thumb to click the left soft key(hard or soft).it made me feel uncomfortable.for this, i recommend to add one feature that i can use my thumb to drag on the left side to back to the main screen.
second, in the main screen,on the right side,there's a quite big space.you can add something like groups or others.
third, in the contact chosen screen, there will be buttons with phone numbers on them.but it's not friendly, i think you can add some icons on them,that makes it directer.
last, please make a cab that i can use it earlier.

Great improvements!

Did anyone else notice this abnormal happening to the RAM? When I first start Contact Mgr (after soft reset), it show the RAM dropped by 700KB from 26.8 to 26.1MB. Then after I used the Contact Mgr and open the detailed page, and hide the Contact Mgr, the RAM now show 14+MB.

Tene, can you include the 'exit' Contact Mgr feature to totally kill the application? I can't find Contact Mgr in the 'Setting', 'Memory', to kill it.

Edit: This seems to start from v.0.7 or v.0.8.

No, it doesn't. The contacts left softkey under the dialer brings up the standard Windows Mobile contact list.

Great app! Paypal on its way...

One suggestion I have right away - the background selection is great, but as mentioned previously it can't be done in the favorite screen. This would really give it more of a 'complete' feel...
