Delete all the data of the “Entitlement Client folder” and remove the “WSActivity.xml file.” Ensure to stop all POS processes and services, before you look to perform the resolution steps.
Choose the “Task Manager”
• Choose the “Processed” and close all active processes.
• Shut the “task Manager.”
• Enter “services.MSC” in the field and press enter
• Now open “services window” and search for QB POS “Data manager vXX
• Shut all the services & stop every service window.

Delete the “Needed Files”:
Go to the hidden Windows folders
1. Windows 8.1 & 8
2. Vista & Windows 7
3. Windows XP
Navigate to the location as per the Operating system:
1. For Windows 8 and 8.1 -C:\ Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0
2. For Vista and Windows 7- C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.0
3. For WindowsXP-C:\DocumentsandSettings\AllUsers\ApplicationData\Intuit\EntitlementClient\v8.0
Now Select all files present in the folder
Click Delete.
Navigate to the previous location- C:\ Program Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX.0.
Go to the INI folder & delete the “WSActivity file.”
Open POS again & download and install the required updates.
Finish “the registration process.”
