CO.FO.ME.GRA UV aging test chamber simulates the influence of ultraviolet rays through UV lamps, and reproduces dew and rain through water vapor condensation and water spray.
Accelerated UV aging tests reproduce damage caused by sunlight, rain and dew. The damage that occurs during months or years of outdoor exposure can be reproduced after a few days or weeks of sample exposure in the CO.FO.ME.GRA UV Weathering Chamber.
In order to simulate aging caused by external atmospheric factors, the CO.FO.ME.GRA UV aging chamber subjects materials to alternating cycles of UV radiation and humidity at controlled high temperatures. The instrument simulates the effects of sunlight by using special UV fluorescent lamps, dew and rain by condensation or water spray (spray option).
The photodegradation process of almost all durable materials exposed to the external environment is caused by ultraviolet radiation. The fluorescent lamps used in the CO.FO.ME.GRA UV aging test chamber simulate critical short-wave UV rays, which faithfully reproduce the damage caused by sunlight.
